Dr. Jones is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology as well as currently Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. He has been actively involved in teaching radiology to the emergency medicine residents at Orlando Regional Medical Center for 14 years and is liaison with the trauma and emergency medicine services. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Emergency Radiology.

He has a special interest in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and is currently Chief of MRI at ORMC. Following his residency at the University of South Florida Affiliated Hospitals in Tampa, Dr. Jones completed a fellowship in advanced imaging and magnetic resonance imaging, also at USF. Dr. Jones completed his internship in internal medicine at Richland Memorial Hospital and the University of South Carolina. He received his Medical Degree from the University of South Florida and his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. Prior to his radiology residency, Dr. Jones practiced Emergency Medicine in the Tampa area.

Dr. Jones has been the Chief of Radiology at multiple hospitals and clinics during his tenure with MCRG including South Lake Hospital, Clermont, FL, St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, FL, and Boston Avenue Imaging, Altamonte Springs, FL and is currently Vice Chief of Radiology at Orlando Regional Medical Center. He is a current board member of MCRG.

Dr. Jones has co-authored numerous publications and monographs, has been a speaker at national conferences, and is a member of numerous specialty societies.
